Graduate Behaviour Mentor - Alternative Provision School
Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a recent graduate with an interest in mental health, behaviour support, or positive reinforcement? Do you want to inspire and guide young people who display challenging behaviour? Are you considering a future career in psychology, education, or youth work?
A specialist Alternative Provision school in Thatcham is seeking a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to join their team full-time, starting immediately and continuing until July 2026. In this role, you will support students aged 11-18 with behavioural and mental health needs, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically throughout the school day.
Key responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support within the classroom and during pastoral activities
*Assist teachers in managing challenging behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
*Support the development of social and emotional skills in pupils
*Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and encouragement
*Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and psychologists to ensure effective support strategies
