Senior Social Worker - Child Protection / Child in Need (CP/CIN)
Multiple Locations Across Suffolk

Hybrid Working - 3 days office-based | Condensed hours over 4 days considered
Suffolk County Council is currently recruiting experienced Senior Qualified Social Workers (QSWs) to join their Child Protection (CP) / Child in Need (CIN) teams across multiple localities.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive Local Authority offering flexible working arrangements and a choice of teams with varying caseload levels.
Available Teams & Caseloads*Coastal North Social Care Team - Average caseload: 25
*Ipswich Locality Team - Average caseload: 25-30
*Forest Heath Social Care Team - Average caseload: 30
*Haverhill Social Care Team - Average caseload: 30
*Stowmarket Team - Average caseload: 40
Key Responsibilities*Completing Child & Family Assessments
*Managing Child in Need (CIN) plans and reviews
*Chairing and attending CIN meetings
*Undertaking Child Protection work
*Writing Section 7 reports
*Working closely with multi-agency professionals
*Ensuring accurate and timely case recording
Working Pattern*3 days per week in the office
*Hybrid working model
*Condensed hours over 4 days considered
Essential Requirements*Qualified Social Worker with 3+ years PQE in UK Local Authorities
*Social Work England registration
*Strong experience in Child Protection and Child in Need
*Experience completing assessments and court-related reports (Section 7)
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
