Morgan McKinley is seeking an Immediately Availble Management Accountant to join a vibrant South London school on a temp-to-perm basis. This role is critical in supporting the School during a busy academic period, requiring a candidate who can provide robust financial oversight and an immediate impact.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the school’s budget, ensuring financial compliance and providing the Senior Leadership Team with the insights needed to drive educational standards.

This role is a temp-to-perm contract paying £200 - £250 a day (DOE). This position is fully on-site 5 days a week; therefore, candidates must live in South London and possess a valid Enhanced DBS.

Key Responsibilities
*Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and detailed commentary for the Governors.
*Lead the annual budget setting process and provide accurate year-end forecasting to ensure financial sustainability.
*Oversee the integrity of the school’s cash flow, managing bank reconciliations and monitoring restricted/unrestricted funds.
*Ensure full compliance with ESFA and Local Authority financial regulations, maintaining a "gold standard" audit trail.
*Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and manage the processing of payroll data and pension submissions (TPS/LGPS).
Required Skills & Experience *Enhanced DBS clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
*Full-time on-site presence is required; you must be comfortable working within the school office daily.
*Prior experience within the Education sector (Schools or Academies) is highly desirable.
