Job Description:
Senior Social Worker - Adoption TeamThurrock Council is looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Adoption Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the full adoption journey within a supportive and well-established service.
About the RoleYou will be involved in all aspects of adoption, including:
*Recruitment and assessment of adopters
*Delivering preparation training and information events
*Family finding and matching for children
*Supporting adopters post-placement
*Working with birth parents
*Completing post-adoption and SGO assessments
*Preparing court reports (including non-agency and stepparent adoptions)
*Working in partnership with Adopt East
Requirements*Qualified Social Worker with 3+ years PQE
*Adoption experience is essential
*Strong background in statutory childcare
*Excellent report writing and communication skills
*Social Work England registration
