SEN Teacher – KS1 & KS2Location: Mitcham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time
Class Size: 8–10 pupils
Start: ASAP / Ongoing
About the RoleWe are currently recruiting a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Mitcham. This role is ideal for someone confident supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 with a range of additional needs.
The school provides a nurturing, structured, and highly supportive environment for children who require tailored learning approaches. Class sizes are small—typically no more than 8–10 pupils—allowing teachers to deliver personalised lessons and focused support.
What We’re Looking ForWe are seeking an SEN Teacher who:
*Is comfortable teaching KS1 and KS2 age groups
*Has experience working with non-verbal children and those requiring additional learning, communication, or behavioural support
*Can adapt lessons creatively to meet individual needs
*Understands how to create a calm, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
*Works well within a multidisciplinary team, including SENCOs, therapists, and support staff
*Demonstrates patience, empathy, consistency, and strong behaviour-support strategies
Essential Requirements UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – mandatory requirement
Experience working with SEN children
Ability to differentiate learning and support EHCP outcomes
Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with diverse and complex needs

If you do not have QTS or do not have SEN experience, your CV will not be considered for this position.
