Job Title: Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: £92.63–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are looking for a committed and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Rushden area. This full-time role involves working closely with pupils who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), providing both classroom and 1:1 support.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
*Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
*Support pupils with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH
*Help implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
*Support with personal care where required
*Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements
*Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school or similar setting)
*A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
*Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
Desirable
*Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent)
*Experience supporting pupils with autism or SEMH needs
*Team Teach or behaviour management training
