Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply (with long-term opportunities from September)
Pay: £200 - £250 per day
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher in Lewisham, you will work with pupils who have a range of additional needs, particularly SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
This SEN Teacher role in Lewisham will involve delivering tailored lessons, supporting emotional regulation, and creating a structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
*Support pupils with SEMH and ASD within specialist settings
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
*Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
*Work closely with support staff, SENCOs and leadership teams
*Monitor progress and adapt learning accordingly
*Follow safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
Candidate Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
*Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly SEMH and ASD
*Strong behaviour management and resilience
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
*Flexible and adaptable approach
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
