Role OverviewA friendly and supportive primary school in Macclesfield is seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS2 Primary School Teacher to join their team from September until the February half-term.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Key Stage 2 class, delivering engaging lessons that support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities*Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
*Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
*Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
*Use effective behaviour management strategies to support a safe and productive classroom.
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders.
*Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.
*Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions and school activities when required.
*Ensure safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times.
Person SpecificationEssential Requirements*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (ECTs welcome to apply).
*Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
*Ability to plan differentiated lessons to meet a range of abilities.
*Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
*A positive, flexible and professional approach to teaching.
Desirable*Experience delivering phonics (e.g. Read Write Inc, Little Wandle, or similar).
*Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.
*Familiarity with continuous provision or play-based learning.
