Year 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Newton Aycliffe | September Start
We’re a warm, community-rooted primary school in Newton Aycliffe looking for a Year 2 teacher to join us from September on a maternity cover basis. This is a class that thrives on curiosity, routine, and the occasional moment of chaos (the good kind).
We’re particularly interested in someone who:
*Sees phonics and storytelling as equally powerful tools
*Understands that progress isn’t always linear—but it is always possible
*Can balance high expectations with genuine warmth
*Has a knack for making number sense "click" for those who find it tricky
*Doesn’t mind being asked why at least 47 times a day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
