Salary: £33,465 – £51,714 per annum (Sixth Form College Teacher Pay Scale)

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Health & Social Care to join a successful and forward-thinking sixth form environment. This is a chance to become part of a supportive, ambitious team that is committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for students.

You’ll be joining a dynamic Health, Science and Enterprise faculty, delivering engaging and high-quality teaching to learners on Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care programmes, with opportunities to contribute more widely across related curriculum areas.

The Role

As Teacher of Health & Social Care, you will:
*Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students
*Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
*Develop and maintain engaging learning resources
*Track and monitor student performance, supporting progression and achievement
*Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
*Deliver enrichment activities and support external visits
*Take part in marketing, open events and outreach activities to support student recruitment
*Collaborate with colleagues across the faculty and wider organisation
The Person

We are looking for someone who brings energy, creativity and commitment to everything they do. The ideal candidate will:
*Have a degree in a relevant subject
*Hold a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one)
*Have recent experience teaching Health & Social Care at Level 2 and Level 3
*Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
*Be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
*Be adaptable, well-organised and a strong team player
*Be committed to equality, diversity and the safeguarding of young people
*Experience of delivering strong outcomes and the ability to teach additional related subjects would be advantageous.
