Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping children grow in confidence as they move through their early school years? Do you bring energy, patience and consistency into the classroom?
Reed Education is working closely with a friendly and inclusive primary school in the Wakefield area to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage One pupils on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.
This role would suit someone who understands the importance of strong foundations in learning and enjoys being part of a collaborative, supportive school team.
About the role:You will be working alongside the class teacher to support pupils across Key Stage One, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting pupils during lessons in literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum subjects
*Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions where required
*Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional and social development
*Assisting with classroom organisation and lesson preparation
*Helping children develop independence and confidence in their learning
We’re looking for someone who:*Has recent and relevant experience working in a primary school (KS1 experience essential)
*Holds a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2, Level 3 or equivalent)
*Is calm, proactive and confident supporting younger learners
*Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff
*Is committed, dependable and passionate about supporting children’s education
