We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Premises Officer / Caretaker to join a welcoming and well-established secondary school setting in Lambeth. About the Role
As a Premises Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school environment is safe, secure, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors. You will take ownership of the day-to-day site operations, contributing to the smooth running of the school.
Key Responsibilities
*Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the school premises
*Carry out routine inspections, repairs, and basic maintenance tasks
*Ensure health and safety regulations are consistently met
*Manage site access, including opening and closing procedures
*Liaise with contractors and external service providers
*Support with setting up for school events and activities
Requirements
*Proven experience working as a Premises Officer, Caretaker, or in a similar role within an educational setting
*Strong working knowledge of building maintenance, health and safety, and site management
*A proactive and reliable approach with excellent problem-solving skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*A relevant degree is preferred, though not essential with significant experience
