Description
*Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
*Support budgeting and forecasting processes to aid strategic decision-making.
*Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
*Reconcile balance sheets and maintain financial controls.
*Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
*Assist with year-end audits and prepare required documentation.
*Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial operations.
*Provide financial support and advice to department heads and senior management.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
*A recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
*Proven experience in management accounting within the retail industry or a similar sector.
*Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
*A thorough understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
*Able to commute to our client’s offices in Derbyshire.
*Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information to stakeholders.
