Job Description:
Event Assistant
*Hourly Rate: £16.89
*Location: Hybrid / Norwich City Centre
*Job Type: Part-time (22 hours per week), 4-month contract
We are seeking a Temporary Event Assistant to support the Manager and team in the development and delivery of events and functions at our client’s location. This role involves extensive liaison with event organisers, audiences, service providers, and team members. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, undertaking all aspects of event planning and delivery to ensure a high-quality service and maximised income.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist in the development, organisation, and delivery of events and activities
*Undertake general administrative tasks to support events, including processing bookings, handling financial procedures, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
*Collate and provide information and reports on the performance
*Communicate and meet with event organisers, partners, service providers, and others to deliver excellent customer service.
*Implement all operational procedures, including health and safety and compliance with the terms and conditions of the bar licence and other relevant licences.
*Support the marketing and promotion of the organisation
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience of delivering customer service within an event or venue context.
*Experience of undertaking an administrative role.
*Proficient in English and Maths.
*Proficient IT skills.
*Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Ability to work to deadlines in a methodical and organised manner.
*Ability to work well with others and under pressure.
*Skills to monitor and control financial resources and support budgeting.
*Understanding of and ability to communicate health and safety requirements.
