Job Description:
Due to the continued success and expansion of this e widely recognised as a market leader in Sole Trusteeship we are currently looking for a talented Support Trustee to join the expanding team of salaried Sole Trustee specialists.
This is a unique opportunity to play a visible, impactful role across a diverse portfolio of schemes helping deliver high-quality, member-focused outcomes.
The Role
As a Support Trustee, you will work in a co-trustee capacity, supporting Lead Trustees across a range of appointments. You’ll bring your pensions expertise and stakeholder skills to help drive robust, compliant decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
*Attending trustee meetings and regular catch-ups with advisers and clients
*Acting as a "second pair of eyes" on key trustee decisions
*Constructively challenging Lead Trustees and advisers, and leading when required
*Contributing to diversity of thought and balanced decision-making
*Supporting improved member outcomes through strong governance
Our Sole Trustee model ensures you’ll have an active, visible role-with genuine influence on scheme outcomes.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines technical pensions knowledge with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
You will:
*Have a solid understanding of UK Defined Benefit pensions legislation
(from an actuarial, administration, covenant, investment, or legal background-either consultancy or in-house)
*Be proactive, flexible, and confident applying your expertise across different schemes
*Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
*Be comfortable working in a multi-stakeholder environment
*Be curious about industry innovation and emerging solutions
*Enjoy sharing knowledge and contributing to a collaborative team culture
*Be open to developing skills to support new business pitches
