Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Research & Development Manager to lead a small team on a permanent basis. This role will be instrumental in developing and enhancing the company’s products and services, supporting ambitious growth plans within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage new product development projects from concept through to completion
*Design, test, and develop innovative products
*Interpret R&D briefs and ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget
*Collaborate effectively with all areas of the business to ensure design considerations are fully explored
*Provide regular updates and reports to the R&D European Director and Dirctors
*Offer technical support to internal departments and customers when required
*Chair and participate in design review meetings
*Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless product implementation
Experience & Qualifications
*Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
*Relevant work-based experience or apprenticeship
*Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical design principles
*Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD
*Desirable knowledge of PLC programming
Working Hours
*Monday to Thursday: 08:45 - 17:00
*Friday: 09:00 - 16:00
