Experienced Cover Supervisors - Secondary Schools (Manchester)

Aspire People are working with secondary schools across Manchester who are in need of dedicated, flexible, and experienced Cover Supervisors to provide regular daily supply cover. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident individuals with strong behaviour management skills and a passion for education.

It’s also ideal for those who are planning to apply for, or have already been accepted onto, a Teacher Training programme or PGCE starting in September-offering valuable classroom experience to support your journey into teaching.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A UK degree (essential)
* Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in UK secondary schools
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* A strong ability to build rapport with students quickly, establishing trust and authority as a new face in the classroom
* A genuine passion for education and supporting student progress
* Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups on short notice
* A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
* Two years of recent, professional references
* Ideal for those who plan to begin or have secured a place on teacher training or PGCE courses in September

Responsibilities:
* Supervising lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of teaching staff
* Managing student behaviour in line with school policies
* Ensuring students stay on task and complete set work
* Promoting a positive learning environment and acting as a positive role model
