System Administrator (DevOps / AWS / Infrastructure)

The OpportunityWe’re working with a growing, technology-driven organisation looking to hire a System Administrator with strong DevOps and infrastructure experience. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining, optimising, and scaling critical systems.
You’ll collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the environment.


Key Responsibilities*Manage and maintain server infrastructure (Linux/Windows environments)
*Support and optimise cloud platforms, particularly AWS
*Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
*Monitor system performance, availability, and security
*Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues
*Automate routine tasks using scripting and command-line tools
*Support deployments and environment configuration

Key Skills & Experience*Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
*Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.)
*Solid DevOps understanding (CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code)
*Strong command-line skills (Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting)
*Experience with server management (patching, monitoring, performance tuning)
*Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, routing)
*Familiarity with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar (desirable)
