We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established company within the manufacturing sector, for a hands-on Maintenance and Production Technician. This role is split between supporting production operations and carrying out maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities for a Maintenance and Production Technician:
*Perform basic mechanical maintenance and repairs on production equipment
*Respond to breakdowns and support fault finding
*Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
*Support day-to-day production operations to maintain efficiency
*Help install or modify machinery where required
*Maintain basic maintenance records
*Help on the shop floor with production operative duties such as Drilling and Sawing.


Key Skills for a Maintenance and Production Technician:
*Hands-on mechanical or maintenance experience desirable
*Background in manufacturing, production, or similar environment
*Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
*Basic understanding of mechanical systems
*Good teamwork and communication skills
*Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn
