Primary School Teaching AssistantCheltenham & Gloucester | Full-time / Part-time | Immediate & September Starts
Are you a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a primary school setting? We are working with welcoming and supportive primary schools in Cheltenham and Gloucester who are seeking dedicated TAs to support pupils across the school.
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young learners and be part of a nurturing team that puts children first
The Role:
As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, or within the classroom
*Assist teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
*Help deliver engaging lessons, including phonics, literacy and numeracy
*Support pupils with additional needs (SEND, SEMH or EAL where required)
*Promote a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
*Work closely with class teachers and other support staff
* Key Stages:
We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across:
*EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
*Key Stage 1 (Years 1-2)
*Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6)
Experience in any of the above is welcome.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
*Experience working with primary-aged children (school or childcare setting)
*A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential)
*Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
*A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
*A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
