Job Description:
Senior Compliance Solicitor
Derby (Occasional travel to other offices)
Hybrid working
I’m working with a specialist, growing law firm looking to appoint a Senior Compliance Solicitor into the team in a key hire for the business. With a focus on building a strong proactive compliance function.
This is a high-impact position reporting directly to the COLP, with real influence across governance, risk strategy, and regulatory compliance. A firm with a great compliance culture from top down
The Role?
*Firm-wide risk management frameworks & compliance oversight
*SRA, GDPR & AML compliance
*Internal audits, breach reporting & board-level updates
*Policy development and implementation across multiple offices
*Acting as the go-to escalation point for complex compliance matters
Exposure to contentious probate or high-risk casework is highly desirable.
About you?
*Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (England & Wales)
*Strong background in legal compliance / risk / regulatory roles
*Understanding of SRA Standards & governance frameworks
*Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
*Experience drafting policies, audits, and delivering training
