Job Description:
Long-Term Temporary Site Manager - Commercial Project
Location: Suffolk Rate: £300 per day Contract: Long-term temporary
Your new roleOur client, a well-established regional contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager on a long-term temporary basis to deliver a commercial construction project in Suffolk. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, organisation and coordination of subcontractors and site teams.
Key responsibilities include:
*Full day-to-day management of the site
*Coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials
*Ensuring strict compliance with health & safety regulations
*Managing short-term programmes and daily activities
*Maintaining quality standards and overseeing snagging
*Liaising with the project team, consultants and stakeholders
*Completing site documentation and progress reporting
What you’ll need to succeed
*Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial projects
*Excellent knowledge of health & safety and site processes
*Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold) and First Aid certificates
*Ability to manage programmes and multiple subcontractors
*Strong communication and leadership skills
*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment
