Bench Caster - Pottery
Location: ST4
Working schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:30am - 1:30pm
Rate of pay: £13.77ph
Contract type: Temporary for up to 6 months




Adecco are seeking a skilled and reliable Bench Caster to join our client’s production team based in ST4. This role involves producing high-quality ceramic ware using slip casting techniques, working to established standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency.


This is a temporary position for possibly up to 6 months.




Key responsibilities:


*Bench casting ceramic items using moulds and clay
*Monitoring casting times to ensure consistent wall thickness and quality
*Safely emptying moulds and preparing cast items for finishing
*Inspecting cast ware for defects and reporting issues promptly
*Cleaning, maintaining, and storing moulds correctly
*Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards
*Following health & safety procedures at all times


Skills & Experience:
*Previous bench casting experience is essential
*Knowledge of slip casting techniques and ceramic processes
*Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
*Ability to work with repetitive tasks accurately
*Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
*Willingness to learn and adapt to production requirements
