HGV Fitter (Full-Time) Hybrid - North West England
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation for an experienced HGV Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking for long-term stability, strong earning potential, and career progression.
Working Hours*Monday to Friday
*6:45am - 5:15pm (10-hour shifts)
*Overtime and weekend work available as required
The RoleYou will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a fleet of HGVs and plant machinery, ensuring all vehicles and equipment remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities*Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
*Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
*Carry out scheduled servicing (e.g. brakes, oil, filters)
*Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
*Maintain accurate service and repair records
*Support junior team members and apprentices
*Adhere to all health & safety standards
Key Requirements*Proven experience as an HGV Fitter
*Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
*Confident using diagnostic tools and equipment
*Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
*High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Full UK driving licence (HGV licence required)
*Valid Driver CPC
*Flexibility for overtime and call-outs
