Job Description:
The Credit Controller will play a key role in managing credit and collections processes within the accounting & finance department for an engineering business. This permanent position is based in St Helens and offers a great opportunity to contribute to the financial stability of the organisation.

Description
*Oversee credit control processes to ensure timely payments from customers.
*Maintain and update customer accounts within the accounting system.
*Proactively follow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment issues.
*Conduct credit checks and assess new customer accounts.
*Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and credit status.
*Collaborate with internal departments to address account discrepancies.
*Respond to customer queries regarding invoices and statements.
*Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
*This role would suit someone wanting to get their foot in the door or who has a a couple of years experience already within credit control
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*Effective communication skills for liaising with customers and colleagues.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving payment issues.
*Knowledge of financial regulations and procedures in the retail industry.
