I am working with a growing manufacturer based on the outskirts of York that is looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a Management Accountant. This is not a role where you will be sat in isolation producing numbers. You will be working closely with operations and supply chain, getting a clear view of what is driving performance and where improvements can be made.
You will take ownership of the management accounts for the operational side of the business, leading on variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting. A big part of the role is turning data into something meaningful, giving stakeholders clear insight they can actually use to make decisions.
Alongside the core accounting responsibilities, there is real opportunity to get involved in the day to day running of the operation. From stock and cost analysis through to supporting wider supply chain activity, this role offers far more exposure than a typical position at this level.
This role would suit someone who is part qualified or newly qualified, or qualified by experience, with a solid grounding in management accounts. Experience within manufacturing or a similar environment would be helpful, but just as important is the mindset. Someone who is curious, proactive and confident working with people across the business will do well here.

The role is based on the outskirts of York with four days per week on site and one day from home. The salary is up to £40,000 depending on experience.
