The RoleReporting to the Central Treasurer, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting in line with statutory requirements. You will oversee month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable and receivable, tax compliance, payroll, and act as the key contact for external audit.
You will also lead and develop the Accounts team, ensuring a high-quality finance function that supports wider organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities*Lead financial reporting, month-end and year-end close
*Maintain strong balance sheet control and internal controls
*Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and VAT/tax compliance
*Manage external audit processes and implement improvements
*Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
*Drive process improvements and operational efficiency
*Manage, coach, and develop the finance team
*Partner with stakeholders across the organisation
About You*AAT qualified or above (or equivalent experience)
*Strong knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102
*Proven experience in financial reporting and audit
*Experience managing month-end/year-end processes
*Strong understanding of AP/AR and payroll
*Advanced Excel and systems experience (e.g. NetSuite, IRIS)
*Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
*Proactive, detail-focused, and solutions-driven
