Year 1 Teacher Job – Long-Term Opportunity | Bootle
Start Date: September | Full-Time | Long-Term
Desian Education are delighted to be recruiting for a resilient, passionate, and committed Year 1 teacher for a diverse and vibrant primary school in Bootle. This is a full-time, long-term role, starting in September, with the opportunity to continue for the right teacher.
This school serves a community with a high level of pupil premium and EAL, offering a hugely rewarding opportunity for a teacher who thrives in inclusive settings and is motivated to make a real difference to children’s lives.
If you’re a KS1 teacher who enjoys working with diverse learners and supporting children through the crucial EYFS to Year 1 transition, this role could be an excellent fit.
The Role:
*Full responsibility for a Year 1 class – planning, teaching, and assessing in line with the national curriculum
*Adapting teaching to support children from a range of backgrounds, including EAL learners
*Creating a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
*Working closely with support staff, SEN teams, and school leadership
*Full-time teaching position
*Long-term opportunity providing stability and consistency
*Supportive SLT who value staff wellbeing and professional development
The Ideal Candidate:
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Full Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
*Experience in Year 1, KS1, or high-need settings (EAL experience highly desirable)
*Confident differentiating learning to meet a range of needs and abilities
*Calm, patient, and positive approach to behaviour and inclusion
*Committed, resilient, and passionate about closing attainment gaps
Pay:
*M1 – M6: £120 – £232 per day, depending on experience
