Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production machinery through a combination of planned, reactive, and continuous improvement maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment
*Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs
*Minimise production downtime through efficient fault finding and resolution
*Collaborate closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and reduce disruption
*Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency
*Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
*Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Requirements*Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting
*Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
*Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
*Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
*Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
