Payroll Co-ordinator
Permanent
Based in Hailsham (hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days at home)
Up to £40,000 per annum plus bonus and study support

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Payroll Co-Ordinator to join a well-known business in the Hailsham area on a permanent basis.
You’ll be part of a steadily growing company, working in a team of 3 looking after the UK payroll of approx. 200 members of staff. You will be working alongside a payroll bureau to collect and prepare payroll data in order for them to run and process the staff payroll.
Your duties will include:
*Preparation of the monthly payroll submission and posting the monthly payroll journals for multiple entities as appropriate
*Calculate & post the monthly Bonus Provision journal
*Posting payroll journals
*Reconciling all posted payroll costs to the nominal ledger and prepare the payroll monthly
*Payroll reconciliations
*Time & attendance reporting
*Monthly & Annual P46/P11d reporting as appropriate
*Pensions’ administration, reconciliation & payment preparation
*Preparation of new starter/leaver documentation & processes
*Maintenance and assisting with providing developmental support of SagePeople HR system
*Key liaison point in the annual audit process ensuring all supporting schedules and evidence are completed and submitted
*Maintenance of internal/external databases
Key requirements:
*Experience of working in a payroll position is essential
*Experience of posting journals and reconciliations
*Well-developed Excel, Word & other MS Office suite products
*Methodical, numerate and accurate with a high attention to detail and outputs to be presented to a high standard
*Ability to resolve problems under own initiative
*You will be responsible for, and have access to, highly sensitive personal data. Discretion and treating all matters in strictest confidence is an absolute requirement of the role
*You must be a car driver due to the location
