Job Description:
Social Worker - Child Protection TeamMake a Real Difference Every DayWe’re proud to be working in partnership with Knowsley Council to recruit passionate and experienced Social Workers for their Child Protection team.

What You’ll Do:*Manage a manageable Child Protection caseload, ensuring all work is focused on improving outcomes for children and young people
*Undertake child protection investigations, assessments, and direct work with families in complex situations
*Develop and implement robust care and safety plans, ensuring timely interventions and effective multi-agency collaboration
*Work closely with schools, health professionals, police, and partner agencies to safeguard and support children
*Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and statutory reviews
*Promote child-centred, strengths-based practice, empowering families to make sustainable changes
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
*Experience within a Child Protection, Safeguarding, or similar statutory social work team
*Court experience and confidence in preparing and presenting professional reports
*Social Work England (SWE) registration
*A BSc or equivalent qualification in Social Work
*Strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and a genuine passion for protecting vulnerable children.
