Job Description:
Speech and Language Therapist - SEN School
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated team within a specialist SEN school. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a range of communication needs and make a lasting difference to their development.
About the Role:
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with pupils who have a variety of needs, including autism, speech and language delays, and complex communication difficulties. You will play a key role in helping students develop their communication skills, enabling them to access learning and engage more confidently with the world around them.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess pupils’ speech, language, and communication needs
Plan and deliver tailored therapy programmes
Work closely with teaching staff, support staff, and families
Provide guidance and strategies to support communication in the classroom
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration
Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting
Knowledge of a range of communication needs and interventions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A caring, patient, and proactive approach
