A specialist financial services business is looking to appoint a Corporate Credit Manager to join its established credit function.
The Credit Manager role
This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of audits end-to-end, working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen controls, challenge risk frameworks, and drive continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities for the Credit Manager role
*Assess the credit of new and existing corporate clients
*Analyse financial statements and produce detailed credit assessments
*Prepare credit papers for senior approval forums
*Review and approve credit applications within delegated authority levels
*Ensure adherence to internal underwriting standards and policies
*Monitor customer performance and respond to emerging credit risks
*Maintain accurate and audit-ready customer records and documentation
*Support ongoing compliance requirements
*Collaborate with commercial and operational teams on live deals
*Contribute to risk discussions, planning cycles, and portfolio reviews
*Produce regular and ad hoc reporting for senior stakeholders
What you will bring to the Credit Manager role
*Proven experience in a corporate credit or lending environment
*Strong ability to interpret financial data and assess risk exposure
*Experience writing and presenting credit papers
*Exposure to operating with a personal underwriting mandate
*Confident decision-maker with the ability to challenge where required
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
