Job Description:
Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Senior Social Worker to join their Families First Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
*Hold and manage a complex caseload within the Families First / Early Help pathway
*Undertake high-quality children and family assessments and interventions
*Provide support, guidance, and informal mentoring to Social Workers
*Lead on child-in-need and edge-of-care cases to prevent escalation
*Work intensively with families to build resilience and reduce risk
*Coordinate and contribute to multi-agency planning and reviews
*Support effective step-down from statutory services where appropriate
*Model strengths-based, whole-family, and relationship-based practice
*Maintain accurate, timely case records and statutory documentation
*Ensure children’s voices and lived experiences are central to all interventions
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
*Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
