Facade Designer - RevitCardiff (Hybrid) | £30,000-£40,000 DOE | Permanent
IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Façade Designer to join a growing external envelope specialist working across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments throughout the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a new and expanding team, contributing to complex façade packages from concept through to construction.
Key Duties*Produce detailed façade design drawings and technical details.
*Develop construction, fabrication, and installation drawings.
*Design façade systems including rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, glazing systems, and SFS structures.
*Liaise with architects, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
*Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations, fire safety requirements, and project specifications.
*Coordinate with structural engineers regarding load paths, bracketry, and support systems.
*Support project delivery through design reviews and technical meetings.
*Assist in resolving technical design issues during installation.
*Ensure compliance with relevant standards including BS EN 13830 and EN 13501-1.
Requirements*Experience working as a Façade Designer, Cladding Designer, or Envelope Designer.
*Strong knowledge of façade systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing systems, and SFS framing.
*Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
*Understanding of façade build-ups, thermal performance, and fire regulations.
*Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
*Strong coordination and communication skills.
