Job Description:
Your new role
As Procurement Manager, you will deliver a professional, compliant and commercially focused procurement service across a defined portfolio of spend categories. You will lead high-value, high-risk and complex procurement exercises from initiation through to contract handover, ensuring robust supply chain solutions that support operational delivery.Operating as a trusted business partner, you will apply strong commercial judgement and expert knowledge of public procurement legislation, driving best-in-class procurement practices and value for money outcomes. You will influence senior stakeholders, shape sourcing strategies, manage tender processes end-to-end and contribute to the continuous development of procurement capability.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading complex procurement projects using effective project management techniques
*Applying and interpreting PCR 2015, the Procurement Act 2023
*Developing sourcing strategies informed by market engagement and category analysis
*Drafting robust tender and contract documentation
*Managing tender processes via e-procurement systems, including evaluation and award
*Providing expert commercial advice, negotiation support and contract management guidance to a range of stakeholders
*Supporting value for money, cost reduction and social value outcomes
*Contributing to procurement strategy, procedures and templates
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a commercially astute procurement professional with the confidence and credibility to influence at all levels in a regulated environment. You will bring:
*Demonstrable procurement experience with working knowledge of JCT contracts
*Working knowledge of PCR 2015 and/or the Procurement Act 2023
*Experience leading major procurement exercises and using framework agreements
*Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
*Ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities
*A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused mindset
