Job Description:
Are you a part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) actively studying towards full qualification and looking to build strong technical experience in statutory reporting and compliance?
We are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to support the delivery of high-quality statutory accounts, regulatory returns, and compliance reporting across the Group.

The RoleYou will support the Finance Manager: Statutory Reporting and Compliance in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the Group, with a strong focus on statutory accounts and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
*Supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements, including consolidation and working papers
*Assisting with external audit requirements, providing schedules, documentation, and explanations
*Preparing regulatory and statutory returns, including VAT, Corporation Tax, ONS, and Regulator of Social Housing submissions
*Supporting financial statement notes and disclosures
*Assisting with reconciliations, lead schedules, and analytical reviews
*Contributing to the Operating Financial Review and benchmarking analysis
*Ensuring accurate recording of financial data in line with accounting standards
*Supporting compliance with financial reporting standards, tax legislation, and internal controls
*Working with the wider Finance team to ensure consistency of reporting
*Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives
About You*Part-qualified and actively studying (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) – essential
*Some experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a complex organisation
*Exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, audit, or statutory accounts
*Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
*Good communication and collaboration skills
*Eager to learn and develop technical accounting expertise
*Interest in process improvement and efficient ways of working
