Support Worker – Supported Living (16–18) | Bournemouth | Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join a welcoming supported living setting in Bournemouth. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people as they develop independence and life skills.
About the Setting:
*Supported living provision for young people aged 16–18
*All residents are relatively independent – no personal care required
*Supporting young people with additional needs, including Autism and ADHD
*A positive and encouraging environment focused on preparing young people for adult life
The Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping young people build confidence and independence. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
*Supporting with daily living skills such as cooking, shopping, and maintaining a home
*Encouraging independence and decision-making
*Accompanying young people to activities and appointments
*Supporting with job applications, CV writing, and preparing for employment
*Adapting your support depending on individual needs – some young people require minimal input, while others need more consistent guidance
Start date: ASAP
Working Hours:
*2 x 24-hour shifts per week
*Shifts run from 9:00am – 9:00am
*Working hours: 9:00am – 11:00pm
*Sleep-in: 11:00pm – 7:00am (may be interrupted if support is needed – paid accordingly)
*Morning shift: 7:00am – 9:00am

*Flexibility to agree set shifts or work on a rolling rota
What We’re Looking For:
*Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children or young people (any setting)
*No prior SEN experience required
*Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
*Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
*Reliable, committed, and able to work the shift pattern outlined
*Someone looking for a long-term, permanent opportunity
