Job Description:
My client is a fast-growing international SME lender operating across the UK, Australia, and the Middle East. The business is scaling quickly with a hands-on, low-bureaucracy culture where people take ownership and move fast.
The Role
Own the end-to-end recoveries function, from early arrears through to legal enforcement and bad debt.
You’ll lead offshore collections and legal support teams, manage performance, and drive strategies to maximise recoveries while making commercially sound decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Own recoveries performance and bad debt outcomes
• Set and manage KPIs across collections and legal
• Lead offshore collections agents and paralegals
• Oversee legal recovery (CCJs, statutory demands, insolvency)
• Decide on legal action vs commercial settlements
• Handle complex cases and improve processes
• Feed back risks and trends to the credit team
Candidate Profile
• Background in collections, debt recovery, litigation, or insolvency
• Experience managing teams and driving results
• Strong commercial judgement and decision-making
• Comfortable with ownership and autonomy
