Accounts Manager - Birkenhead
A well-established accountancy practice is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join its Birkenhead office. This is a great opportunity for a technically strong, client-focused accountant who enjoys managing relationships, overseeing a varied portfolio, and supporting junior staff development.
The role:
*Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses across multiple sectors
*Act as the main point of contact, providing proactive advice
*Review statutory accounts and ensure UK GAAP compliance
*Oversee corporation tax work and liaise with specialists
*Manage workflow, deadlines, and team delivery
*Support and mentor junior team members
About you:
*ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
*Strong experience managing clients within practice
*Solid technical knowledge of accounts and compliance
*Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
*Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
