The role is split into two parts. Sixty per cent will be the financial control of the department, managing a small team. This will include the following:
*Ensuring the month and quarterly close is accurate and meets deadlines
*Developing, strengthening and streamlining controls and processes
*Developing system enhancements where possible
*Monitoring, forecasting and reporting on cashflow
*Supporting stock counts and inventory controls
*Payroll management
*An understanding of standard and activity based costing would be an advantage
The second part of this role relates to FP & A and includes the following:
*Lead rolling forecasts and outlooks, creating reliable financial projections and highlighting key risks and opportunities
*Providing financial analysis to support pricing, margin management, inventory optimisation and cost control
*Partnering with business leaders to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency
*Embed KPI’s and financial transparency and explain financial results clearly to non-finance stakeholders
*Support planning and budgeting through scenario modelling, investment cases and growth initiatives
My client’s ideal candidate is someone, who is highly commercial with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly with all areas of the business. You will be qualified or QBE with proven experience of being a Financial Controller and a desire to develop your FP&A skills.
