Job Description:
An exciting opportunity to join a highly respected specialist college in Yeovil, Somerset, set within a scenic rural environment. This provision is known for its strong support network, therapeutic approach and commitment to preparing young people for adult life. You will work with learners aged 16 to 18, supporting those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and complex behavioural, emotional and medical needs.
Role & Responsibilities*Lead and support planned learning sessions across the classroom
*Deliver targeted support to students 1:1 and in small groups
*Adapt activities to meet individual learning and communication needs
*Promote independence, confidence and life skills
*Support positive behaviour management strategies
*Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
Working Hours & Pay*Full-time role, September start (with potential for an earlier start depending on the school’s needs)
*Hours: 8.30am to 4pm
*Pay: £14.25 per hour
*Long-term opportunity within a specialist setting
What We’re Looking For*HLTA qualification or relevant experience
*Experience supporting young people with SEN
*Confident leading learning activities and supporting delivery
*Patient, adaptable and proactive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
