A charity is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Working closely with the Finance Business Partner, this role will play a key part in delivering high-quality management accounts and supporting financial decision-making across the organisation.
The role will be based on a hybrid basis, with one day per week in the Central London office.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Leading month-end and year-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate close
*Preparing monthly management accounts with clear commentary and variance analysis
*Maintaining key schedules and balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting budget holders with purchase orders, accruals, and forecasting
*Assisting with quarterly reforecasting cycles using established templates
*Producing ad hoc financial analysis and reports to support decision-making
*Maintaining supplier data and supporting wider finance processes
The successful candidate will have:
*Strong experience delivering month-end and year-end processes
*Proven ability to produce high-quality management accounts
*Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to support non-finance stakeholders
*A proactive and inquisitive mindset, with the confidence to challenge and improve processes
*Experience supporting budget holders is desirable
*Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (or equivalent experience)
