Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a St-Helens based SEN school that supports pupils with SEMH as they require a reliable and motivated ELSA to join their team on a full-time temporary basis.
This is an extremely exciting and rewarding opportunity where you will play an integral role in the development and well-being of pupils across the school. This is a full-time position.
Your new role
*Delivering tailored emotional literacy support interventions to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis across the school
*Support pupils social, emotional and well-being development
*Providing self-esteem, emotional awareness and coping strategies/support
*Build strong constructive relationships with pupils to promote well-being and attendance
*Working in partnership with the pastoral team and SENCO
*Maintain accurate pupil records to track progress and emotional development
What you need to succeed
*Full "Right to Work" in the UK
*A recognised ELSA qualification
*Experience supporting SEMH and a strong understanding of behaviours and emotional well-being
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
*An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
