Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Worksop
Are you a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for flexible, temporary ongoing work across Worksop?
Academics are currently recruiting skilled HLTAs to support a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Worksop on a temporary, ongoing basis.
Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing positions
Pay: £115 - £145 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Worksop, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across a variety of primary school settings.
This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role in Worksop may involve delivering pre-planned lessons during PPA cover, leading small group interventions, and supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis.
Working across Worksop primary schools, you will gain valuable experience in different classroom environments while maintaining flexibility in your working week.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver pre-planned lessons during PPA cover or staff absence
* Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in Worksop schools
* Lead small group and 1:1 interventions
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Support assessment, planning and classroom organisation
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and leadership teams
* Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Candidate Requirements
*Level 4 HLTA qualification with relevant experience
* Strong HLTA experience and Degree educated (essential)
* Confidence delivering lessons to whole classes
* Good understanding of the primary curriculum
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
