We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Tunbridge Wells who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified (or qualified by experience) accountant looking to take ownership of a varied client portfolio within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
The RoleYou will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting and tax services, and building strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing a portfolio of clients across accounts and tax
*Reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns
*Leading client meetings and acting as a trusted advisor
*Overseeing workflow, delegating to junior staff and reviewing their work
*Ensuring compliance with HMRC and Companies House requirements
*Supporting clients with year-end processes (including P11Ds and related filings)
*Driving efficiency and maintaining high service standards
*Mentoring and developing junior members of the team
The CandidateWe are looking for someone with strong practice experience who can confidently manage both clients and workload.
You will ideally have:
*ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
*Previous experience managing a portfolio within an accountancy practice
*Strong knowledge of accounts and tax compliance
*Experience using software such as Xero and/or Sage
*Excellent communication and client-facing skills
*Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
Audit experience is beneficial but not essential.
The Package*Salary: £47,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
