Role Description
A well-regarded accountancy practice in Lowestoft is looking for an Audit & Accounts Senior to join their team. This role offers a varied workload with an audit focus (approximately 60–70%), working with a diverse portfolio of clients including charities, oil & gas, retail and manufacturing businesses.
You will lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, while also supporting accounts preparation and playing a key role in mentoring junior staff. What you’ll do
*Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
*Undertake audit fieldwork, primarily office-based with some local client visits
*Prepare statutory accounts for a range of clients
*Work with a varied client base including charities and commercial businesses
*Review and delegate work to junior staff where appropriate
*Support and mentor trainees within the team


What you’ll need
*ACA / ACCA part-qualified or qualified (qualified by experience considered)
*Experience within a UK accountancy practice
*Strong audit experience and understanding of the full audit cycle
*Experience of reviewing or delegating work is advantageous
*Good communication skills and ability to work with clients directly
