£463-£480 per week

Primary schools in Newport are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to pupils with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children in a mainstream setting, helping them feel supported and confident in their learning.
Key duties:
*Providing 1:1 support during lessons and daily activities
*Adapting tasks to meet pupils’ needs
*Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
*Encouraging independence and building self-esteem
*Promoting a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
The ideal candidate:
*Calm, patient, and reliable
*Ability to build strong and trusting relationships with the ALNCO and the class teacher
*A clear communicator and team player
*Previous experience in education, care, or support work is beneficial but not essential
*Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
