Baby Room Lead – Nursery

Hours: 7:30am – 6:30pm (flexible working pattern)
£15.00 – £17.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Baby Room Lead to join a warm and nurturing nursery in Cambridge. This is a permanent, full-time role and an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their early years career.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage the baby room, ensuring high-quality care and education for children aged 0–2
*Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
*Support, mentor, and guide staff within the room
*Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed
*Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children’s progress
*Complete observations, assessments, and developmental records
*Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for babies to thrive
Requirements:
*Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent)
*Previous experience working in a baby room, ideally in a leadership or senior role
*Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
*Confident, caring, and organised leadership style
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
