Job Description:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, based in Huntingdon, for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position, with a hybrid working model available. To be successful, you will have experience in a similar position.
Typical duties include:
• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Managing all aspects of the sales ledger, including invoicing and credit control
• Assisting with month-end processes, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Conducting variance analysis and reporting on key trends and discrepancies
• Providing financial insights to support business decision-making
• Assisting with VAT returns and audit preparation
• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accuracy of financial data
• Supporting foreign currency transactions where required
• Assisting with ad-hoc finance duties as required
You will have:
• AAT qualification or started ACCA/CIMA
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
